Agency of the Year

The Agency of the year award is a new category that will recognise the agencies who have had the biggest impact on the sports broadcasting industry. This can include brokering new broadcasting partnerships and media rights deals, launching new services or overachieving for their clients.

WME | IMG secured the prized premier league rights in 27 markets, agreed a potentially game changing partnership with the Euroleague, and their recent purchase of the UFC ensures their portfolio of content to distribute and sell is as strong as ever.


Since its evolution in 2015, Wanda Sports Holding has been active, making several key additions to its senior management team, positioning itself for a move away from being seen as a euro-centric agency to a truly global business. Infront Sports & Media itself has continued to do deals, with recent rights deals involving the IOC, IIHF, CHL, EHF and more recently launched a new Chinese Soccer Cup competition, further adding to its commercial portfolio.

MP & Silva continues to distribute blue-chip sports rights in both existing and emerging markets, with recent deals including Formula 1, the NFL and numerous domestic football leagues across the globe. It’s ability to secure and sell rights at a premium in both emerging and matured markets, reinforced their status as a leading global agency, and the key reason they’ve been recently acquired by major Chinese investors.
